Whether you are looking for a traditional service or something more innovative, we will meet with you to listen to your very own love story, the essence of which will be at the heart of the service we write.  We will help you create a service unique to you and befitting the ceremony you choose.  We can deliver your service in any venue of your choice and to suit any style, be it a small intimate event or a large-scale celebration.

We are always happy to meet in person. It is often most fitting and personal to meet at your home, but we also have offices if preferred (if your home is busy and you want to be sure of a peaceful space!) or we can meet online if this suits you best.

After our first meeting we will draft the service, at the heart of which is the telling of your love story and exchange of vows, but into which we will incorporate any songs, poems, rituals or elements to make the service complete.  The types of ritual some people like to have includes handfasting, a sand ceremony, salt ceremony, circling ceremony or having a unity candle or oathing stone.  We will bring some examples of materials used for these when we meet. You may have other ideas from your own background, family or culture, anything that matters to you can be incorporated into your service. We can also include religious elements if you would like this as part of the service.

Soon after we meet, we will send a draft of your service, and you can make any changes or additions you want so your service is exactly as you want it to be. We will also revisit this when we meet about a month before your actual wedding to confirm the final details of your service.

A vow renewal service is a ceremony in which a married couple renew their wedding vows as they reaffirm their love and commitment to each other.  Often this is to celebrate a significant milestone or anniversary and sometimes to renew their commitment to each other after a challenging period in their lives.

As with weddings these can take place in a wide range of venues, often at a location that is of significance to the couple, some choose a destination celebration away from home, maybe abroad.  They may be small and intimate events or large celebrations.

Vow renewals are purely symbolic and are a way for a couple to express their enduring partnership.

As with weddings we can also include religious elements if you would like this as part of the service.

As your celebrant we will deliver a professionally written service which meaningfully reflects the life of the person you are remembering.  The service may not refer to a religion or may reflect the beliefs or faith of your loved one. If you need help to choose readings, poetry or songs/hymns we can make suggestions to help craft the service you want to best honour the person’s memory.

Whether you contact us directly of a funeral director makes the initial contact, we will the arrange with you a time to meet.  This would usually be at your home but can be at another place of your choosing or in our office space, whatever suits you best. These meetings usually last between one and one and half hours.

After we have met, we will send you a draft Eulogy/Tribute to your loved one and draft order of service, all based of course on the information you have shared. We can this way be sure that the service is just as you want it to be. We will liaise with your Funeral Director about the service, choice of music and length of service (which at crematoria is often determined by their organisation and time slots.  

If you need a double time slot at the crematorium (slots vary across sites) there will be no extra charge. Likewise, we can complete the service at the graveside committal where this is an integral and continuing part of the service, whether it is for close family or all mourners to attend.

As lovers of pets past and present, we know how painful the loss of a beloved pet animal can be.  With you we will create a ceremony which honours the life lived by your pet in the heart of your home.
